1,006 photovoltaic panels and solar thermal hot water panels on 5 of our buildings have generated 145,292 kWh electricity equivalent to powering 44 average UK households for a year!

The new MMU Business School and Student Hub opened in April 2012 supporting low carbon technologies and a wealth of interest from our stakeholders.

Towards Sustainable Campuses- Zero Carbon, Zero Waste and Zero Water

The delivery of Manchester Metropolitan University’s capital programme, a consolidation of seven campuses to two is nearing completion. 

One way of attaining ‘Zero Carbon, Zero Waste and Zero Water’ campuses is through our building design. This is gradually being realised through the delivery of buildings which embed and support a number of key environmental technologies.
